This is a wonderful wine bottled by the folks at Talbott Vineyards in Monterey County, California. It has hints of raspberry, strawberry and cherry in the aroma, and subtle smoky and earthy nuances in the flavor, along with undertones of fresh fruit.

After 20 years of making wines to honor their family members, Talbott Vineyards decided to give their dog his due. Pumari wines are named after the family dog, who in turn is named after a sacred mountain in Nepal, "Pumo-Ri." The style of this wine pays homage to the free spirit of the dog, and rugged, remote geography of Pumo-Ri.

This is a very easy-drinking wine that should be enjoyed with your favorite pet nearby. Pumari, the dog, was rescued from an animal shelter, and a portion of all sales is donated to local animal shelters in areas where the wine is sold.
