This wonderful Dreyer Sonoma 2003 Chardonnay release is comprised of grapes from selected mature vineyards throughout Sonoma County. Some of this vineyards are located in the Russian River, Alexander, and Knights Valleys. This Chardonnay was created using 60% barrel fermentation, aged sur lie (without the skins) for nine months.
Golden in color, the grapes used for this creation were picked only when perfectly ripe, full of natural acidity. This wine has achieved great balance between its Sonoma County fruit and the oak influences. A rich, full bodied wine, the 2003 Dreyer Sonoma Chardonnay exhibits the classic varietal characteristics of a perfect Sonoma, California Chardonnay.
