Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this 2005 Pedroncelli Vineyards Chardonnay captures the fresh and lively flavors so characteristic of the Chardonnay grape.
Approximately 30% of the newly produced wine was immediately transferred to American oak barrels for a few months quiet relaxing aging. It is this in-oak restfulness that adds toast and creamy notes to a wine. Strong and refreshing flavors of apple, melon and citrus dominate this wine in the most wonderful way, allowing the finish of this Pedroncelli Chardonnay to be crisp and flavorful.
Almost all of the fruit used to produce this fine wine came from the Frank Johnson Vineyard, located along the most southern edge of Dry Creek Valley, not even two miles from the Russian River. This particular vineyard's cool climate produces grapes perfect for this wine style.
