Italy is widely considered as one of the finest wine producing regions of the world. Like other European wine producing countries, Italian wine's ancestral roots can be traced back to the days of the Romans. Over the ages, Italian wine makers have refined the art bring Italy to the forefront of the fine wine regions of the world.

There is hardly a square centimeter in Italy whose climate is not ideally suited to the growing and maturing fine wine making grapes. Italian wines come in such a very wide variety of styles and quality that most Italian wines never leave Italy. Recently, more and more fine Italian wines are making their way to the United States and experts increasingly rate Italy's premier wines among some of the world's finest.
